It’s hard to define Orthentix by genre. Her music is more like a melting pot of music styles or a collision of genres. She explores a panorama of Bass Music, with individual overtones in an authentic feminine hue. Her music will take you on a journey through her incessant ethereal melodies, expressive polyrhythm’s and booming bass. I analysed my inner psyche, my inner wiring and schematics, and realised that when I write or compose music I usually take a concept and pick it apart at the seems, really flesh it out, to contextualise the infinite meaning, alternative perspectives to get to the very source and engulf myself in the environment of the concept. Then I dissect my experiences and emotions in relation to the concept and my connection to it. I really kneed and meld these together and my music is what comes out. Plus with the amalgamation and integration of my musical journey and fusion of diverse genres, gives me an original and authentic sound. When I write a piece of music it really has to have context, some substance, emotion and grit, without this, I am uninspired. This I feel is why my sound is organic, authentic and original, hence the name Orthentix".

Orthentix is a female electronic music producer, residing in the hinterland of Byron Bay, NSW Australia. She has been producing music since completing a Bachelor in Audio Production and a Diploma in Electronic Music Production at SAE Byron Bay in 2015. Music has always played a big part in her life. From early childhood she played 70’s rock licks on guitar before starting music lessons with a church organist. Once at primary school she played flute in the orchestra and learnt to read music. By high school and rebellion the focus, she played electric guitar, mainly punk and grunge but listened to a lot of Hip Hop and Rap. As a young adult she played percussive world music, mostly African Marimbas and Drumming but became deeply interested in electronic music and Hip-hop. She pursued these interests through study, completing a Diploma of Sound/Electronic Music Production and a Bachelor Degree in Audio Production, leading to her electronic music project Orthentix. The amalgamation and integration of her musical journey, echo’s throughout her tracks.....
When she’s playing a DJ set her tastes are dependent on mood and explores genres of Trap, Halftime and Drum and Bass, leading you on a soulful journey of bass end emotion.
